
I never thought I’d be “that guy”—the one who puts off fitness for years, then wakes up one day and realizes the weight, the blood reports, and the back pain can’t be ignored anymore.
But here I am. And this is Day 0 of my transformation.
📉 Where I Was
For most of my adult life, I had what you could call a “normal busy lifestyle”:
- A full-time software job (mostly sitting)
- A growing family
- Long hours in front of a screen
- Occasional workouts, but never consistent
- And, if I’m being honest, a heavy appetite
Over time, that led me to a weight of 86+ kg by last year. But I wasn’t just putting on weight. My health was slowly waving red flags.
🧪 The Wake-Up Call: August 2024 Blood Tests
In August 2024, I got my blood work done. What came back was concerning:
- High triglycerides
- Elevated cholesterol
- Raised bilirubin
- Increased uric acid
The doctor didn’t prescribe medication at this point but advised me strongly: “Fix your lifestyle. Now.”
🔁 What I Changed
That moment flipped a switch for me. I didn’t want to end up chasing cures—I wanted to build prevention into my life.
So I started small:
- Cut back on food portions and late-night snacking
- Chose healthier meals, though I didn’t go extreme
- Began walking 3–4 km almost daily
- Tracked my weight and habits quietly, for months
The results? I dropped to 78 kg over a span of around five months. My bilirubin is now normal, and the rest—cholesterol, triglycerides, uric acid—are still high, but trending downward.
💡 Why I’m Starting Project: FitAI
Now that I’ve built some consistency, I want to go deeper—not just lose weight, but build strength, endurance, and long-term mobility.
But I didn’t want to:
- Join a crowded gym
- Hire a personal trainer
- Follow random YouTube workouts
Instead, I turned to something unconventional:
AI – more specifically, ChatGPT – as my fitness coach.
I’m calling it Project: FitAI.
A personal challenge to:
- Get stronger
- Improve my cardiovascular fitness
- Fix my posture and mobility
- All from home, using basic equipment and AI-generated workout plans
